(...) Nos recherches à la mairie de Laurens nous ont appris à notre grand étonnement qu’Adrian a été maire de Laurens à la Révolution mais pour très peu de temps: Procès verbal du 14 juillet 1790 AC. A 11 heures et demie, après la messe de paroisse, Monsieur GEPT, maire, monté sur la balustrade de l’église harangue le peuple dont l’enthousiasme éclate. Il jure, au nom de tous ”d’être uni au peuple de France par les liens indissolubles d’une sainte fraternité.
