Daughter of "Mayflower" passenger Degory Priest and Sarah Allerton. Degory came alone on the Mayflower, planning to bring wife and children later after the colony was better established. His death the first winter ended those plans. His wife remarried to Godbert Godbertson in Leiden, and they had a son Samuel together. Godbert, his wife Sarah, their son Samuel, and his step-children Mary and Sarah Priest all came on the ship Anne to Plymouth in 1623. Married John Coombs, Jr on February 24, 1632 in Boston MA. Mother of John Coombs, Jr. and Francis Coombs. Exact location of burial is unknown. Source: https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/12523436/sarah-coombs
Husband of Sarah Priest, daughter of "Mayflower" passenger Degory Priest and 'Anne' passenger Sarah Allerton Priest Godbertson in Boston, Suffolk, MA on 24 FEB 1632.. Father of John Coombs, Jr. and Francis Coombs. Although not found on a particular ship's manifest, one John Coombs/Combes had arrived in Plymouth Colony by 1630 based on Colonial records: On 12 Oct 1630 (Plymouth Colony Records) Ralph WALLEN to Mr. John COOMBE his house and garden plot. This is the first record of John COMBS in Plymouth. Ralph & Joyce WALLEN were 1623 Anne passengers, and in 1623, WALLEN'S Division of land was listed as butted "against Hobes Hole." It is not yet known if this is the same plot, which was adjacent to those of Nicolas SNOW, Anthony DIXE.. and Mr. PERCES 2 Serv: [Servants?]. COMBS is listed in neither the 1623 Division of Land, nor the 22 May 1627 Division of cattle. On 14 February 1633/4 John Doan/Done purchased of John Coombs for 9lbs 10s. "a dwelling house & misted with the inclosure & outhousing thereunto belonging." Exact location of burial is unknown. Source: https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/12523404/john-coombs
