Bartholomew Allerton (aka Alderton) married Mary ____ (b. mid-late 1550s, d. aft 8 Jun 1603), probably in the early 1580's and they had children:[1]
Sarah, b. ca. 1584, d. betw Jul-Oct 1633, m1. John Vincent, m2. Degory Priest (2 ch.), m3. Godbert Godbertson (1 ch.);
Isaac, b. ca. 1587, Mayflower Passenger;
? John, possible son of Bartholomew and Mary, a Mayflower passenger who died in the first winter without issue.
"Batholomew Alderton and his wife" are found on a 20 Feb 1597 list of recusants, as Brownists, enumerated by the Archdeaconry of Suffolk. "Mary, wife of Bartholomew Alderton, tailor" appears again on recusancy lists dated 16 Jan 1600 and 7 Jul 1601, and on the list dated 8 Jun 1603, she appears as a widow, indicating that Bartholomew had died between 1601-1603.[1]
